Welcome to Holy Child Preschool!
Where our only job is to meet the needs of your PRESCHOOLER
The staff at Holy Child Preschool begins every day with YOUR preschooler in mind. Our goal day-in and day-out is to meet the needs of your child. Your child isn’t a small sub-section of a larger elementary school. Your child is our only focus- there are no other age-group distractions within our school.

Preschool Curriculum
The Preschool uses an age-appropriate curriculum that is NOT affiliated with the DoE or city-funded UPK program.
Our 3 year old classes use Handwriting Without Tears for letter recognition and writing skills.
Our 4 year old classes use The Letter People to develop reading skills. The children in our program learn in a structured environment.
We believe that routine is an important element for preschoolers.
Our emphasis is on learning through group instruction, independent and group play, hands-on experiences and experiments.
The curriculum encompasses developing reading language, writing and math skills and learning about nature and science.
The following skills are also part of the learning process:
- personal and social awareness,
- fine and gross motor skills,
- reasoning and concept development
Toddling classes participate in a Music and Movement class conducted by a licensed instructor.
3 and 4 year olds receive instruction in Art and Science by specialized teachers.
4 year old classes use laptops in class, visit the school library, attend monthly mass and receive sports instruction (sports vary by season).
All classes visit our outside playground and indoor gym area to develop gross motor skills.
